Flu Season Ahead

Update on 2018 Flu Vaccines from The Australian Government:

*Vaccines will be available from Mid April – subject to Vaccine supply.
*Period of influenza virus circulation : June to September peaking in August
*Protection wanes after 3 to 4 months.
*April and May is when you should be vaccinated.

When booking online, you MUST enter your name exactly as it appears on your Medicare Card as the booking system links to your Medical File.

Immunisation History

Did you know you can access yours or your childs Immunisation history online?
You can view or print a copy using your:
•Medicare online account through myGov, or
•Express Plus Medicare mobile app

You can then email Immunisation history statements to any valid email address from within the Express Plus Medicare mobile app.

Zostavax – Shingles Vaccine

The shingles vaccine, Zostavax®, has been approved to be placed on the National Immunisation Program (NIP), to be provided free of charge from 1 November 2016 to people aged 70-79 years, subject to vaccine supply.

We are currently only receiving a limited supply of the vaccine.

Please enquire at reception to be put on the waitlist.

Pap Smear Changes

There are planned changes for the way Pap Smears are done from 1/12/2017. The following link will explain some of these changes.

If you have any further questions, please make an appointment with your doctor to discuss.

In the mean time, if your Pap Smear falls due, it is important that you still have it done.
