Flu Vaccine and Covid Vaccine Update

COVID VACCINE UPDATE

We have received confirmation we will be receiving our supply of COVID-19 vaccinations by mid April. Due to limited supplies, we have only been allocated 50 vaccines per week!

We will be contacting our patients who are eligible within phase 1B, starting with the most vulnerable. We understand there are a lot of patients who are eligible in this category, however, we are limited with our supply. Therefore, if you get the opportunity to be vaccinated elsewhere, we encourage it. The Respiratory clinic at the EV Church at Erina are able to provide mass vaccinations. For us to be able to vaccinate all our eligible patients, we are looking at over 12months to be able to vaccinate everyone.

To check if your eligible during phase 1B, or to make a booking at the respiratory clinic, visit: https://covid-vaccine.healthdirect.gov.au/eligibility

To reduce the heavy volume of phone calls to our receptionists, we respectfully ask that you do not call the practice regarding booking appointments for Covid vaccinations – we will contact you. We are unable to take a wait list.

Please note; There needs to be 14 days between receiving a Flu Vaccination & a Covid Vaccination.

For regular updates, please follow our Facebook Page. Thank you for your ongoing support and understanding, KGP

FLU VACCINE UPDATE

We have received a small quantity of both Private & Government supplied Flu Vaccinations.

Your immunity is strongest and most effective 3 to 4 months after you are vaccinated. Flu season in Australia usually runs from June to September, peaking in August, so the best time to get your flu shot is mid to late April or May. There is no rush!!

Friday 9 April – 3:00PM – 5:00PM

Tuesday 13/4/21 – 7.30am – 9.00am

Please call our reception team on 4365 2983 to secure your spot. Please note; these clinics are for flu vaccination only. If you need prescriptions or any other medical advise, please book a routine appointment.
• Flu clinic appointments cannot be booked online
• Private vaccines are $15

If you are seeing your Doctor for a routine appointment, and we have stock, you will be offered a vaccination during this appointment. We cannot take bookings in regular clinic times for flu vaccination only appointments due to staffing, and to adhere to social distancing requirements.

Thank you for your cooperation, KGP.
